ENTRY FEE
The entry fee is $200 per team. This includes two rounds of golf, cart, prizes, and awards.

  

ELIGIBILITY

This championship is open to teams consisting of two male amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:

  • Membership: Players must be a member of the SDGA, by (1) belonging to an SDGA member club or (2) joining as a 2021 SDGA Associate Member ($100 fee).

  • Age: Players must be at least 14 years old as of September 20, 2021.

  • USGA Handicap Index: Players must have an active USGA Handicap Index, issued by their member club, of 8.4 or less.

 

FIELD SIZE AND WAIT LIST

The field is limited to the first 36 teams to apply. After the field limit is reached, teams will be placed on a wait list in order by their time of registration. NEW: The 36 teams with the lowest total (combined) team handicap at the registration deadline will make up the 36 team field.

 

ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY

  • Entries: An entry must be submitted online with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

  • Entry Fee: $200 per team. This includes two rounds with golf, cart, prizes and awards.

  • Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (5PM EST on Wednesday, Sept.15, 2021). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

  • Refund Policy: The entry fee, less a $20 service fee, will be refunded if a team withdraws 24 hours prior to the start of the event.

  • Substitution: All transfers and substitutions must be made by contacting Dan Mort at 315-471-6979 or via e-mail at dmort@nysga.org. A player may substitute after the entry deadline but their team will be moved to the end of the waitlist. A substitute can only be a player NOT entered in the Championship upon the close of entries.

 

FORMAT

The format is 36 holes of best-ball (referred to as four-ball under the Rules of Golf). Play will be from the blue tees at approximately 6,700 yards. Teams will play 36 holes of continuous play (no break or re-pairing between rounds). There are no flights.

 

RULES

All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. The SDGA will have volunteer Rules Officials on the course to provide rulings and answer questions. All ties will be broken using the USGA recommended method of matching scorecards.

AWARDS

Trophies will be awarded to the winners.

 

PRIZES (Based on Full Field)

  • Round 1: Top five teams earn prize cards.
  • Round 2: Top five teams earn prize cards.
  • Overall: Top eight teams earn prize cards.

 

PLAYER LUNCH

  • Player Lunch: A box lunch will be provided to all players.
  • Misc. F&B Notes: The club's snack bar will be open for all meals during this event (cash/credit). 

 

RANGE
Bags of ball will be available in the pro-shop.
