Terms of the Competition

 

ELIGIBILITY

This championship is open to male amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:

  • Membership: Players must be a member of the SDGA, by (1) belonging to an SDGA member club or (2) joining as a 2021 SDGA Associate Member ($100 fee).

  • Age (Seniors): Players must be at least 55 years old as of June 21, 2021.

  • Age (Super Seniors): Players must be at least 65 years old as of June 21, 2021.

  • USGA Handicap Index: Players must have an active USGA Handicap Index issued through a licensed golf club of no more than 12.0 and 15.0 for the Senior and Super senior divisions, respectively.

 

FIELD SIZE AND WAIT LIST

The field is limited to the first 66 players to apply. After the field limit is reached, players will be placed on a wait list in order by their time of registration.

 

ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY

  • Entries: An entry must be submitted online with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

  • Entry Fee: $75. This includes two rounds with golf, lunch after Friday's round, prizes, and awards (carts are not included).

  • Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (5PM EST on Tuesday, June 15, 2021). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

  • Refund Policy: The entry fee, less a $20 service fee, will be refunded if a player withdraws 24 hours prior to the start of the event.

 

FORMAT

  • Format: The format is 36 holes of individual stroke play (no cut).
  • Yardage: The course will be set up to play approximately 6,300 yards (White Tees) for Seniors and approximately 5,800 (Gold Tees) for Super Seniors.

 

RULES

All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. The SDGA will have volunteer Rules Officials on the course to provide rulings and answer questions.

Monday, June 21 // Round 1 // Tee times begin at 8:00am-10:30am
Tuesday, June 22 // Round 2 // Tee times begin at 8:00am-10:30am.*
 
*Round 2 tee times are based off score (highest start first).

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS

Practice rounds are available at Beaver Meadows GC. Prices are as follows: $25 to walk and $42 with a cart. You must be officially entered in the tournament. To book a tee time call the Pro shop at 315-695-5187.

 

PLAYER LUNCH ON TUESDAY

A complimentary lunch is provided to players following Tuesday's final round.

 

FOOD & BEVERAGE

The club's snack bar and restaurant will be open.

 

GOLF CARTS

The golf cart rental fee is $20 per player, payable in the pro shop (cash or credit).

 

RANGE

The range balls are complimentary.

 

AWARDS

Trophies will be awarded to the winners.

 

PRIZES

Trophies will be awarded to the winners. Prize cards will be awarded to approximately 1/4 of each division. 

 

SOVIK CUP AND SUPER SENIOR POY POINTS

Based on a full field- Sovik Cup points will be awarded to the top-16 finishers in the Senior division. Super Senior Player of the Year points will be awarded to the top-12 finishers in the Super Senior Player of the Year.
