CARTS RESTRICTED TO PATHS AND DRIVING RANGE IS CLOSED
Due to wet conditions at Skaneateles, carts must remain on the cart paths and the driving range is closed.

ELIGIBILITY

This championship is open to teams consisting of two male amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:

  • Membership: Players must be a member of the SDGA, by (1) belonging to an SDGA member club or (2) joining as a 2021 SDGA Associate Member ($100 fee).

  • Age: Players must be at least 55 years old as of August 22, 2021

  • USGA Handicap Index: Entrants must have an active USGA Handicap Index issued through a licensed golf club.

 

FIELD SIZE AND WAIT LIST

The field is limited to the first 34 teams to apply. After the field limit is reached, teams will be placed on a wait list in order by their time of registration

 

ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY

  • Entries: An entry must be submitted online with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

  • Entry Fee: $150 per team. This includes two rounds with golf, access to the club's range,  lunch after Monday's round, prizes and awards(carts are not included).

  • Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (5PM EST on Tuesday, August 17, 2021). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

  • Refund Policy: The entry fee, less a $20 service fee, will be refunded if a team withdraws 24 hours prior to the start of the event.

 

FORMAT AND DIVISIONS

The format is 36 holes of best-ball (referred to as four-ball under the Rules of Golf). There is no cut. There are two divisions; Senior (55+) and Super Senior (65+). Play will be from approximately 6,150 yards (Blue Tees) for the Senior Division and 5,600 (Blue/Green Tees) for the Super Senior Division.

 

RULES

All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. The SDGA will have volunteer Rules Officials on the course to provide rulings and answer questions.

 

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Sunday, August 22 // Round 1 // Tee times start 12:30pm
Monday, August 23 // Round 2 // Tee times start 10:00am. High scores first

 

GOLF CARTS

The golf cart rental fee is $20 per player, payable in the pro shop.

 

RANGE

The use of the driving range is included in the entry fee.

 

AWARDS

Trophies will be awarded to the winners.

 

PRIZES

Gift certificates will be awarded to approximately the top-6 teams in the Senior division and the top-4 teams in the Super Senior division.

 

PLAYER LUNCH ON MONDAY

Player's will receive a complimentary boxed lunch during Monday's round at the halfway house.

 

FOOD & BEVERAGE

The club's snack bar and bar will be available. Cash only, no charging.
