Terms of the Competition

ELIGIBILITY

This championship is open to teams consisting of four male amateur golfers who are members of the same SDGA member club.

 

ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY

  • Entries: An entry  must be submitted with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

  • Entry Fee: $300 per team. This includes one round of golf, cart, range, boxed lunch, prizes, and awards.

  • Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (5PM EST on Monday, September 13, 2021). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

  • Refund Policy: The entry fee, less a $20 service fee, will be refunded if a team withdraws 24 hours prior to the start of the event.

 

FORMAT

This championship's format is 18 holes of individual stroke play. Three out of the four scores are counted towards the team score.  The team with the lowest combined score will be declared the champion. Ties will be broken by including the fourth score. If a tie still exists, the lowest scores will be used, then the 2nd lowest scores, and then the 3rd lowest scores. If a tie still exists, teams will be declared co-champions. If there is a tie for medalist, USGA tie breaker will be used.

 

FIELD SIZE

There is one team per SDGA member club limit, max of 20 teams. 

 

RULES

All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. The SDGA will have volunteer Rules Officials on the course to provide rulings and answer questions.

AWARDS AND PRIZES

Trophies will be awarded to the winners. Trophy will be awarded to the medalist. Gift certificates will be awarded to approximately 20% of the field and to the medalist.

 

FOOD & BEVERAGE

There will be complimentary boxed lunch provided and placed on the carts. The club's halfway house will be open throughout the event (cash only).

 

CART AND DRIVING RANGE

The use of a cart and driving range is included in the entry.
