TERMS OF THE COMPETITION

ELIGIBILITY

This championship is open to male amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:

  • Membership: Players must hold an active USGA/GHIN Handicap Index at a 2024 SDGA Member Club or be a member of the NYSGA eClub of Central NY (residence required in SDGA territory).

  • Age: Players must be at least 25 years old as of August 24, 2024.

  • USGA Handicap Index: Players must have an active USGA Handicap Index issued through a licensed golf club of no more than 8.4

 

FIELD SIZE AND WAIT LIST

The field is limited to the 40 lowest handicap players at the entry deadline.

 

ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY

  • Entries: An entry must be submitted online with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

  • Entry Fee: $120. This includes two rounds with golf, carts and lunch after Sunday's round, prizes, and awards.

  • Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (12PM EST on Monday, August 19, 2024). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

  • Refund Policy:

    • Withdrawal PRIOR TO entry deadline: Entry fee less $20

    • Withdrawal AFTER entry deadline: Entry fee less $50

    • Withdrawal WITHIN 2 DAYS of the competition: No Refund

 

FORMAT

  • Format: The format is 36 holes of individual stroke play (no cut).
  • Yardage: The course will be set up to play approximately 6,700 yards (Black Tees) par 72.

 

RULES

All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. The SDGA will have volunteer Rules Officials on the course to provide rulings and answer questions.

TEE TIME REQUESTS
The SDGA will make every effort to accommodate tee time requests, which must be submitted no later than 12PM on Monday, August 19th (click here). Pairing requests will not be accepted.

 

PRACTICE ROUNDS

Any player entered in the tournament may play a practice round for $35 cart included. You must call the pro shop at 315-363-8280. Guests will pay the normal guest fee.

 

PLAYER LUNCH

A complimentary lunch ticket will be provided to players on Sunday. 

 

FOOD & BEVERAGE

The club's restaurant will be open. Credit card and cash accepted.

 

GOLF CARTS

The golf cart rental fee is included in the entry fee. (ONE SEAT POLICY WILL BE ENFORCED).

 

RANGE

Range balls can be purchased in the pro shop for $5. 

 

AWARDS

Trophies will be awarded to the winners.

 

PRIZES

Prize cards to the host pro shop will be awarded to approximately 1/4 of the field.
