TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
ELIGIBILITY
This championship is open to male amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:

Membership: Players must hold an active USGA/GHIN Handicap Index at a 2026 SDGA Member Club or be a member of the NYSGA eClub - Central NY (Counties: Onondaga, Cortland, Cayuga, Madison, Oswego, Oneida, Seneca, Tompkins, and Wayne County east of Route 14 ). NYSGA eClub - Watertown (Counties: Jefferson & Lewis). NYSGA eClub - Adirondacks (Counties: St. Lawrence).

Age (Seniors): Players must be at least 55 years of age as of June 23, 2026.

Age (Super Seniors): Players must be at least 65 years of age as of June 23, 2026.

Age (Legends): Players must be at least 75 years of age as of June 23, 2026.

USGA Handicap Index: Players must have an active USGA Handicap Index issued through a licensed golf club of no more than 12.0 for the Senior and and 15.0 for the Super Senior and Legends divisions.
FIELD SIZE AND WAIT LIST
- Field Size: 60 players (Senior: 34, Super Senior: 20, Legends: 6). If either field does not reach capacity, open spots will be filled using players from another division's waitlist.
- Determining Field & Waitlist Procedure: Registration for this Championship is NOT on a first come, first served basis. The field is selected "low-to-high", based on the player's combined Handicap Index as of the entry close date. A player's entry will be added to the Championship's pending registration field and their credit card will not be charged. When entries close on June 11th, all players in each division will be ordered by their current Handicap Index by low-to-high. The player's in each division with the lowest Handicap Index, based on division size (above), will then be approved by charging their credit card the full entry fee. Approved player's will immediately receive an email confirmation confirming their spot in the Championship.
- Waitlisted Players: Any player that that does not earn a spot in the field will be placed on a waitlist ordered by their Handicap Index and notified of their status and order by email.
- Note: Anyone aged 65 or older that wishes to compete in the Senior Division (55-64) that has a H.I. of 12.0 or less must notify Jack Corcoran via email (jcorcoran@nysga.org) by entry the entry deadline (Wednesday, June 11, 2026).
ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY

Entries: An entry must be submitted online with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

Entry Fee: $120. This includes two rounds with golf, carts and lunch after Tuesday's round, prizes, and awards.

Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (12PM EST on Wednesday, June 11, 2026). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

Refund Policy:

Withdrawal PRIOR TO entry deadline: Entry fee less $20

Withdrawal AFTER entry deadline: Entry fee less $50

Withdrawal WITHIN 2 DAYS of the competition: No Refund

FORMAT
- Format: The format is 36 holes of individual stroke play (no cut).
- Yardage: The course will be set up to play approximately 6,000 yards (White Tees) for Seniors and approximately 5,600 (Gold Tees) for Super Seniors and Legends.
RULES
All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. The SDGA will provide access to a certified USGA Rules Official to provide rulings and answer questions.

TEE TIME REQUESTS
The SDGA will make every effort to accommodate tee time requests, which must be submitted no later than 12PM on Wednesday, June 16th (click here). Pairing requests will not be accepted.
PLAYER LUNCH ON TUESDAY
A complimentary lunch is provided to players following Wednesday's final round.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
The club's snack bar and restaurant will be open.
GOLF CARTS
The golf cart rental fee is included in the entry fee.
RANGE
Available for purchase in pro shop.
AWARDS
Trophies will be awarded to the winners. Pro shop credit will be awarded out to the top finishers in each division.
