TERMS OF THE COMPETITION
ELIGIBILITY
This championship is open to teams consisting of two male amateur golfers who meet the following requirements:

Membership: Players must hold an active USGA/GHIN Handicap Index at a 2026 SDGA Member Club or be a member of the NYSGA eClub - Central NY (Counties: Onondaga, Cortland, Cayuga, Madison, Oswego, Oneida, Seneca, Tompkins, and Wayne County east of Route 14 ). NYSGA eClub - Watertown (Counties: Jefferson & Lewis). NYSGA eClub - Adirondacks (Counties: St. Lawrence).

Age: Players must be at least 55 years old as of August 17, 2026

USGA Handicap Index: Entrants must have an active USGA Handicap Index issued through a licensed golf club of no more than 12.0.
FIELD SIZE AND WAIT LIST
- Field Size: 34 Teams (Senior: 19 teams, Super Senior: 15 teams). If either field does not reach capacity, open spots will be filled using teams from another division's waitlist.
- Determining Field & Waitlist Procedure: Registration for this Championship is NOT on a first come, first served basis. The field is selected "low-to-high", based on the teams' combined Handicap Index as of the entry close date. Each team's entry will be added to the Championship's pending registration field and their credit card will not be charged. When entries close on August 12th, each team's combined Handicap Index will be calculated and ordered from low-to-high. Approved teams will immediately receive an email confirmation confirming their spot in the Championship.
- Waitlisted Teams: Any team that that does not earn a spot in the field will be placed on a waitlist ordered by their combined Handicap Index and notified of their status and order by email.
ENTRIES, DEADLINE, AND REFUND POLICY

Entries: An entry must be submitted online with payment prior to the deadline. Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

Entry Fee: $260 per team. This includes two rounds of golf with carts, lunch after Tuesday's round, prizes and awards.

Deadline: Entries must be received prior to the deadline (12PM EST on Wednesday, August 12, 2026). Late entries will not be accepted, regardless of reason.

Refund Policy:

Withdrawal PRIOR TO entry deadline: Entry fee less $20

Withdrawal AFTER entry deadline: Entry fee less $50

Withdrawal WITHIN 2 DAYS of the competition: No Refund.

SUBSTITUTIONS
All substitutions must be made by contacting Jack Corcoran (jcorcoran@nysga.org) with the following policies in place:
- Before Entry Deadline: A player may add a new partner at any time prior to the close of entries.
- After Entry Deadline: If a team is in the field for the Championship and then requires a partner change, they are permitted to do so as long as the team's combined Handicap Index remains at or below the established low-to-high cutoff at the time entries closed.
FORMAT AND DIVISIONS
The format is 36 holes of best-ball (referred to as four-ball under the Rules of Golf). There is no cut. There are two divisions; Senior (55+) and Super Senior (65+). Play will be from approximately 6,200 yards (White Tees) for the Senior Division and 5,900 (White/Yellow Combo Tees) for the Super Senior Division. If teams include players in both the Senior & Super Senior division, they must compete in the Senior division.
RULES
All play will be governed by the USGA Rules of Golf. Players will be provided a "Notice to Players" rules sheet containing local rules and conditions. The SDGA will provide access to a certified USGA Rules Official to provide rulings and answer questions.

TEE TIME REQUESTS
The SDGA will make every effort to accommodate tee time requests, which must be submitted no later than 12PM on Wednesday, August 12th (click here). Pairing requests will not be accepted.
PLAYER LUNCH ON TUESDAY
Players will receive a complimentary lunch after Tuesday's round.
GOLF CARTS
Carts are included in the entry fee. All players must ride
RANGE
Available for purchase in pro shop.
FOOD & BEVERAGE
The club's snack bar will be open.
AWARDS
Trophies will be awarded to the winners. Pro shop credit will be awarded out to top finishers.
